Hi,

I was wondering how I can change the DOI time limit for unconfirmed subscribers.

Currently, it automatically deletes them if they don't confirm within 24 hours.

Many sign ups use a free email client like yahoo or hotmail, and they may not check them right away for the confirmation (double opt in) email.

I would like to change it, to allow them 3 days to confirm, before their email address is automatically deleted.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Steve

Subscribers are give more than 24 hrs to confirm their email.

Try and see for yourself!

I have tried it...

I wouldn't post an issue without trying to test it myself first.

Here's an actual activity log from my site (I x out the emails for privacy)

2008-09-08 22:47:29 User Hugo Lobo (xxxxxxxxxx@hotmail.com) was registered to account General with double opt in

2008-09-10 00:00:51 User Hugo Lobo (xxxxxxxxxx@hotmail.com) was deleted from account General after DOI time limit
(about 25 hours)

Here's another one...

2008-09-10 14:41:07 User Meow (xxxxxxxxxx@netzero.net) was registered to account General with double opt in

2008-09-12 00:07:00 User Meow (xxxxxxxxxx@netzero.net) was deleted from account General after DOI time limit
(about 33 hours)

The second one was actually given a little longer, but that may be because no one visited the site to activate the script.

I tested it with my own email address and the same thing happened.
What do I need to change to give them more time?

You can't change it.
