Dear Dr Quek,

Q1. Can you explain how I can create a link manually that I can store and copy and paste into an outlook express email when it is required? If I can please explain how or where I can find the info in the manual

Q2. When I create an autoresponder series (that is, to send emails to my subscribers on the 0,3,6,9 days etc..), so that they can download a .pdf ebook, I have noticed that when I click on the link the web address where the .pdf ebooks are located is revealed in the browser address bar.

Is there a way to make my ebook location secure?
I have always believed that FMLP pro produced links that were secure and did not give away my download area address. Am I doing something wrong?

kind regards,
Paul

Q1. Please explain more.

Q2. You are referring to cloaking of the URL. The script has the LINK feature which allows you to hide your URL, but I am not sure if this is what you want.

Dear Dr Quek,

At your request I have re-phrase the above questions hopefully allowing you to assist.

Q1. I have 5 e-Books varying in size from 500kb to 4 MB in size when zipped, that I want to send to clients 14 days after they initially purchase my main product.

I setup up an autoresponder email in FMLP Pro, that I have set to be sent to clients 14 days after I placed their name and email in the autoresponder.

My hope was that FMLP Pro would disguise the web address where the e-Books are loaded so the clients cannot see the directory where the e-Books are kept.

Unfortunately, when I sent an email to myself and clicked on the link, I noticed that when the e-Book was loading on my computer, I could see the address where the e-Books are loaded on my web server in the internet explorer address bar.

Is there a way to make my e-Book path/location private and secure. I was of the understanding that the links that FMLP Pro produced did not give away the download address.

Why is the address being displayed? Is there a way to stop this happening?

Q2. Can you explain how I can create a link manually in FMLP Pro? That is, a link that I don’t want to send out in an email from FMLP Pro, but a link that I can create and extract from FMLP Pro and use it elsewhere? Hopefully being a link that disguises my download address.

Kind Regards,
Paul

Q1. For a start, I would not recommend attaching big files with your email messages.
It is better to include download links in your messages so as not to slow down the sending.

Regarding your problem, there are ways of solving this not using the Script.
For example, you can set up temporary directory or rename your directory.
The script is not designed with this feature in mind.

Q2. Create links in LINK window and then include [LINK?] in the body of your messages. Details in the Manual.
