View Full Version : FMLP not connecting to pop 3 account

I just found that my FMLP has not been picking up bounced emails and new subscribes from my pop3 account. I get this message when I run the test function in the bounced mail handler:
Error: Can't open connection to mail.xxxxxxx.com : Connection timed outErrors detected please check your settings
My settings are correct and I have an email program that checks this account with no problems. Where should I look for problems?

Are you saying bounced email feature was working before and now it stopped working?

Try this:

1. Try a different email account on a different server.
2. Delete the email account and recreate it.

Make sure you input the same parameters e.g., mail server, username and password as you email client (Outlook Express) and you have no problem downloading them to your PC.

Yes, the feature was working, but has quit. I have deleted the email address and recreated it. I changed to another address and it still will not connect when I use the test button. I can connect to both email addresses with my thunderbird account using the same values I have in FUMP. I don't think I made any changes in the installation files or in my database, but we did have a server crash about a month ago which my isp blamed on my bulk emailing. I have stopped sending large groups of emails, but they do go out and the test emails from various accounts seem to go out ok. Could I have a corrupt file in my installation?
