mail never reaches mailbox

Hello Dr
I have installed , fmlplite, thanks to you .I have ested sending autoresponder to myself.The system says mail been sent but when i check my inbox or bulk mail , it's not there .Seems mail never reaches my inbox.How to set this right ?

Please try sending to a number of email addresses on different servers and monitor them closely. Some mail servers have built in spam filter that filter out what they considered as spam mails.

Please let me know the progress.

I tried sending to gmail , hotmail , yahoo-------none of the email reach any of the above inbox or bulk mail of my email account

This is unlikely.

Were the emails sent out in the first place? Check the log.

Try sending one to your own domain eg., webmaster@yourowndomain.com

I checked the logs and the mail seems never sent out.I checked from subscriber page of your program and it also shows the same thing, subscribers are added but mail never went out.
I then contacted my web host help team and following is waht i got back from them

Here are few requirements that you need to follow, regarding mail send.

1. You must state in the 'TO' or the 'FROM' headers in your script, an email from your account with us.
2. The 'From' header is required to be present and to be preceding the 'To' header.
3. Our server requires authentication, so there must be a place in your script where you must check this.
4. One of the 'FROM' and 'TO' filed must state a valid email from your account with us.

I want to know where i can put in the "from" in the script.Which part of the script do i go in or whatever changes and where are required

If you are using the 1 pixel activation link you need to have visitors to that page in order to activate the script to check and see if there is any messages to be sent out by the Script.

I have installed the 1 pixel image on a testpage and tested by sending to my own email address. But the problem is still there.

I subscribed on the testpage using the same email address as was previously in the subscriber listWhen i hit the submit button , i am redirected to the successpage.
But as i know , i should have been prompted with error that i have already subscribed with the same email address before. After that i check my inbox.Nothing in the mailbox.
So i don't know where the problem lies

This is what is said in my log.I had no error log for your script.Subscription is accepted but never went out

It seems your cron were not activated.

Make sure your cron link is placed on a webpage with visitors.

For testing you may want to type the link into your browser and activate it that way ie,

http://www.mydomain.com/cgi-bin/fmlplite/starter.cgi

I checked in the subscriber page and it says there mails of the cycle 1/2 has been sent out --- ijust put 2 messages with messages going to my diffferent account emails for testing.Firstly , the mails went out days after i subscribe.Secondly , the mails sent never reaches my inbox even though i have set filters to recieve messages from this particular email assress.

Also I can subscribe any number of times with same name and email address .but as far as iknow , i should be getting error message that this email address already exists.

1. Try to diagnose your problem as follows:

a. Try sending say 50 test messages to yourself to see whether you can receive them. Try this until you found an email address which will receive the test messages. If this does not work, it is due to your mail server setup.

b. Enter the 1 pixel activation link into your browser as described above. This will activate the sending of sequential messages.

c. Check your log.

2. In the Lite version, there is no warning if a person subscribes twice. In the Pro version, however, you can allow or disallow double subscription.

Hi Dr.

Like to know the time of broadcast. Is this depends to server or the fmlmlite will just braodcast on it own time until complete the subscriber?
For eg. I have over 80,000 subscriber, how long will take to broadcast?

For Lite version, if you are running on a budget host, you may have problem sending more than 200 email an hour.

For Pro version, this is not a problem.
